WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM OUR PHOTO SESSION?

Our goal is to capture your individual/family's true spirit, tell your story, and provide you with beautiful imagery that you will cherish for a lifetime. We like to keep sessions fun and relaxed, so just be yourself and we'll take care of the rest. 

HOW LONG DO THE PHOTO SHOOTS TAKE?

Sessions typically take anywhere from one to two hours. However, the timing is flexible based on your individual/familiy's needs. Young children are encouraged to have snacks and take breaks if they need it. 

WHERE DO THE PHOTO SHOOTS TAKE PLACE?

We are exclusively an on location natural light photographer so sessions ususally take place outdoors or in your home and during daylight hours.

WHAT DO WE WEAR?

We suggest you go with a colour scheme rather than trying to match everyone in identical outfits. Wear something you feel comfortable in and clothing that accentuates your best features. Layers and textures add dimension and interest, and accessories such as scarves, jewellery, hats, etc. can really stylize the overall look. If you are unsure of how to pull it all together, bring your items to the shoot and I can help. If you're on Pinterest, they've got tons of visual examples to inspire you. 

WHAT IF SOMETHING COMES UP AND WE NEED TO RESCHEDULE?

If you or your child becomes sick or the weather is bad on the day of the shoot, we will find an alternate time to reschedule. All sessions are prepaid to secure your date, and those monies will be applied to the new date of booking.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO SCHEDULE A MATERNITY SESSION?

Maternity sessions are best scheduled between 28-36 weeks, when you are visibly preganant, but not yet too tired or uncomfortable. 

WHEN CAN WE EXPECT TO SEE OUR PHOTOS?

Your images will be edited and in your online gallery within 2 weeks for portrait, maternity, engagement, and senior sessions. And 4-6 weeks for wedding sessions. 

HOW WILL I GET TO SHOW OTHER PEOPLE MY PHOTOS?
You will be provided with a password protected gallery that you can share with others if you choose.

HOW MANY PHOTOS DO I GET?

We’re not fixated on exact numbers. However, to give you a rough idea you will on average receive 50+ images per hour of service for weddings, and 20+ per hour for portrait sessions.

COLOR OR BLACK AND WHITE?

Generally we edit about 20% of our shoots in black and white. Our conversion process for black and white is specific to the image, it’s not just an off and on sort of thing, so we don’t provide a color and a black and white version of the same file. If you have a preference when it comes to black and white (as in you want more, or hate it), please let us know before your shoot.

WILL THE PHOTOS BE EDITED?

Yes. All of our final photos are fully edited, where we make adjustmentss in exposure, color, and contrast. We will remove noticeable blemishes in close up photos of our clients for all session types. Additional retouching is carried out on a case by case basis, and additional fees may apply depending on the request. Generally if a request cannot be done in simply we will charge additional post production fees.
